Become a Volunteer

A volunteer can extend our reach; helping us to save more needy dogs. A volunteer can work directly with the sanctuary dogs, giving them love and attention.  Many of the sanctuary residents that entered the sanctuary shy or fearful have blossomed into happy, outgoing dogs because of a volunteer’s gentle nurturing. A volunteer can also help staff our off-site events and adoptions.  Once in a while, a foster home is needed for a mother dog and tiny puppies.  This is especially important in very hot, cold or rainy weather.  ALPHA employees perform the daily maintenance work of feeding, watering and scooping. But on rare occasions, help may be needed for those tasks too.
